But how can you maximize your impact?
LinkedIn™ templates.
LinkedIn™ templates are powerful tools that help you streamline your communication, build your personal brand presence, and help you stand out in the very busy, crowded, and widely used platform of LinkedIn™.
Why Use LinkedIn™ Templates?
Before we dive into the nitty-gritty, let’s get into why LinkedIn™ templates matter:
They’re Efficient: Templates save time. Instead of crafting every message from scratch, you can start with a well-structured template and personalize it for each recipient.
They help you build Consistency: Consistent messaging reinforces your brand identity. Templates ensure that your tone, style, and key points remain uniform across interactions.
They’re extremely Effective: A well-crafted template can elicit better responses. It’s like having a post structured, formatted, and ready to post whenever you need it. (Once you’ve personalized it first, of course!)
Types of LinkedIn™ Templates
There are four categories of content that we always use in our content strategies at The Borden Group:
- Promotional Posts:
A promotional post is a strategically crafted message designed to showcase a product, service, event, or achievement.
These posts aim to engage your professional network, raise awareness, and drive specific actions.
Promotional Post Example:
Promotional Post Template:
[Your Company Name], we’re passionate about helping businesses thrive.
Our top-notch services are designed to [List what your services do and who they do it for]
Here’s what we offer:
[List Services]
[Include CTA – this can be as simple as:
Ready to Take Your Business to New Heights?
Connect with us today!
Let’s discuss how we can tailor our services to meet your unique needs.]
- Personal Posts:
Personal posts on LinkedIn™ allow you to showcase your professional identity, share insights, and connect with your network.
They also allow you to share your career journey and your unique experiences on that journey. The insights you provide may help others on their own journeys.
Here are some effective LinkedIn™ templates for engaging Personal Content:
- Vulnerable
- Inspirational
Vulnerable:
Vulnerable Post Example:
Vulnerable Post Template:
[start with a relatable or interesting hook]
[tell your story]
[tell your relatable and inspirational ending]
[CTA sharing inspiration with your readers]
So how do you get comfortable sharing vulnerable content?
That’s entirely up to you!
You get to decide where the line is – You get to draw the line between personal and private.
For example:
Personal content may be your daily routine, your career journey, or experiences you’ve been through.
Private content could be your relationship status, family stories, etc.
Inspirational:
Inspirational Post Example:
Inspirational Post Template:
[incorporate a relatable hook, possibly conveying a feeling]
[share a personal feeling, goal, and/or anecdote]
[CTA asking a question and engaging your audience]
BONUS: Personal Post – Humor:
Example of a personal post incorporating humor and engaging readers:
Personal Post with humor template – that’s really up to you!
Here’s how we’ve evaluated the structure here:
Blair opens with a hook that isn’t really her usual style or her usual tone – engaging her audience immediately by causing a ‘hmmm, I wonder what she’s doing here…’ reaction in her readers.
She then talks about how she hooked you and asks questions that keep you reading through the post..
Then, she shares a personal and cute little story about her son demanding cheese sticks (which I found hilarious due to her cheddar cheese emoji!)
And then she continues to engage readers by asking them what she’s doing.
After this, she concludes that she’s just reminding all of us that we’re still human and that LinkedIn™ is just a machine, and in doing so, she reminds us that authenticity and humanity are what keep brands and readers connected.
At the end, she throws in a promotional little quip – which no one is mad at because it’s authentically her to give away free stuff!
You can create similar posts by incorporating your own sense of humor or little quirks into your content.
